MISSION STATEMENT: Century Way Products strives to meet our community's needs by providing pets with high quality, all natural and cost-effective treats. We also strived to provide people with all natural agricultural products.
Century Way Products, owned by Samantha and Evan Rix, specializes in crafting premium smoked bones and treats for dogs and cats using environmentally responsible practices. Our bones are sourced from cattle processed on our family farm and local facilities, ensuring the highest standards of quality while minimizing our environmental impact. Our bones are also all natural, with no preservatives, smoked in cherry wood. Other products we provide pets that are all natural include freeze dried smoked treats and deer antler chews. We also provide all natural beef tallow products for humans and pets.
At Century Way Products, sustainability is at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to reducing waste by utilizing every part of the cattle, and our smoking process is designed to be as eco-friendly as possible. Our packaging is made from recyclable materials, and we continually seek ways to improve our practices to lessen our footprint on the planet. We are proud to operate with licenses in 42 of the 50 states, allowing us to share our exceptional smoked bones and treats with pet owners nationwide. Our products are designed to cater to every dog's size, breed, and needs, and we are always eager to share our knowledge and experiences with fellow pet lovers. Our inspiration comes from our beloved fur babies: Haven and Miles. They are a constant reminder of why we do what we do and motivate us to uphold the highest standards in both quality and sustainability.
Samantha Rix, the daughter of Mathew Roemer, is part of the fourth generation of our family to manage the farm. Alongside Evan, she has dedicated herself to both the farm and our business. For the past six years, both Samantha and Evan have worked as registered nurses, with Samantha recently earning her Master’s of Science in Nursing with a focus on leadership and administration. Evan has also completed his Master’s in Healthcare Administration, while serving in the Iowa National Guard, where he has proudly served for ten years. After spending two years as travel nurses, Samantha and Evan decided to return to their Iowa roots and devote themselves full-time to Century Way Products. Their commitment to excellence, community, and sustainability exemplifies their dedication to creating a better world for pets and people alike.
Our primary residence is in Pleasant Hill, Iowa where we conduct most of our business. However, located in Greentop, Missouri, is our family farm, proudly owned by Mathew Roemer, who is continuing a family legacy that spans three generations. For nearly 65 years, our farm has been a cornerstone of agricultural excellence in the region. Mathew Roemer, our dedicated owner, is deeply committed to delivering the finest quality produce and beef to our valued customers. His mission extends beyond mere production; it encompasses responsible farming practices that safeguard our land and animals for the benefit of future generations. Mathew's passion for farming and agritourism is matched only by his enthusiasm for educating others on sustainable farming techniques.
From a young age, he has been intimately involved in every aspect of the farm, cherishing fond memories of learning alongside his grandparents. He has worked and been a part of the farm ever since he was young. His favorite memory of the farm stems from his early childhood when he got to experience it all with his grandparents. His grandmother would make him bacon and tomato sandwiches for breakfast before he went out to work on the land with his grandfather.
Prior to focusing full-time on the farm, Mathew enjoyed a successful 30-year career as an IT Application Manager at Nationwide Insurance in Des Moines, Iowa. He is now an IT Director at F&G as well as still running the farm full time. His primary focus in life is his family and his passion centered around the outdoors and farming.
He invites you to share in the legacy of our farm—a cherished piece of heaven that we now open to others to enjoy and appreciate.
